By submitting as many details as you can, it makes the design process easier, and consequently the final estimate as well. You can reference my existing signs as a jumping off point, and even attach your own sketches or inspiration images that you may have found elsewhere. All of that helps!

Painted background? Stained? A combination? I utilize a worn paint and stain aesthetic on many of my signs (Elfsong Tavern, Yawning Portal, World Serpent, Castle Ravenloft)

Material

I typically use solid pine panels because they are affordable and receive paint, stain and weathering quite well. If you would like any hardwoods or specific species of wood, add that in here.

Details

Engravings? Hardware tacks? A particular hanging style? One or two sided? Again, feel free to reference elements from my other pieces.

Text

What do you want it to say? Be sure to include spacing and formatting, indicating what words belong on which line. If it has text in different areas, let me know here.

Text color

I like to keep this the same color as any border or accent element, but it's up to you.

Lettering method

Cut out letters that are attached to the sign? (That's how most of my signs are done). Carved into the sign itself and painted?

Font

If you've seen any font on one of my other pieces, you can reference that. If you have a specific font in mind and it's free, I can acquire that, but if it's a paid font, it's cost will be added to the final quote.

Timeframe

Do you need this by a specific date? Most custom orders take several weeks to complete from the time *the project is agreed upon and paid for*. It may take 3 weeks of communication to determine the final design, and then another few weeks to actually build.

Budget?

My commissioned sign price starts at $300, and from there can adjust up or down depending on factors. If you use one of my existing signs as a starting point, and have a majority of the desired details already worked out, that will bring the cost down a fair amount. If you're adding elements like double-sided, outdoor weatherproofing, or a large scale sign, that will move it up.
