When you think of amazing movies that embody the sci-fi, horror and suspense genres, Alien tends to be one of the more favored films. The ill-fated Nostromo starship and its crew are as iconic and well known as any other, and now you can have a piece of the Aliens franchise in a style that would suit the iconic craft.

This hand-made wooden sign has a number of materials and layers that really give it a unique look. The base of the sign has a rusted and worn look as if it were weathered sheet metal. The treatment is, in fact, made by applying layers of paint that contain real metal bits, which is then genuinely rusted with a mild corrosive (and safe) solution. It’s not just faux distressing...it’s real rust! You get the benefit of a distressed metallic look without the cumbersome weight, material cost, or worry of deterioration.

The Nostromo text and wing logo are separate pieces precisely cut with a laser and individually affixed to the sign, providing a nice 3D feel. Along each side are 2 metal strips affixed with old hardware nails. The metal strips are also hand-aged and worn to provide that worn look. The final piece is an ideal addition to any fans collection of of Alien (and Aliens too, let's be fair) memorabilia, art and fan service.

A sawtooth hanger on the back makes for easy hanging on any wall. Each piece is coated with a light urethane layer which is designed to protect against dust and sings, as well as keep the rust from coming off. It’s not recommended to be hung outside exposed to the elements. Every piece is one of a kind and made by hand with care and attention, and the wear and tear aesthetic elements will vary from piece to piece.
