These signs are fully handmade and painstakingly distressed to give it a unique, worn look. Each one involves a 10 step distressing technique to make this new wood look old again, and the result is a multi-layered and chipped paint aesthetic that makes the sign feel like its been around for years and years. Even the separately glued on text has a marbled paint look, and the raised frame is roughed up and worn by hand.
You can also personalize your own by adding a custom name plaque in the upper left corner. Use your last name or a clever one of your own, it's totally up to you. I usually try to keep the text in the plaque to under 12 characters, otherwise each letter will have to be smaller to make it all fit.
These signs measure approximately 23" x 11 1/2" x 1" thick (from the back to the raised frame). They have a couple of coats of lacquer for minor protection, but are not weather proof and are intended for indoor use only.
A sawtooth hanger is attached to the back for easy hanging just about anywhere.
